As everybody on the planet knows, 2020 has been a strange year, and weddings are just one aspect of our lives that have had to adjust. Micky and Angus’s wedding was my only one this year but gosh, how lovely it was. You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone but for a brief few hours in the beautiful Suffolk village of Orford it almost felt like the good old days. Apart from the masks in church there was much else that wasn’t at all pandemic related- love, laughter and good food and drink. I wanted to stay forever. Micky and Angus had adapted to the regulations with a scaled down affair but 30 people was more than enough for a party. A lovely, welcoming couple and definitely a bright light in a dark year.
